Modernising public administration – The implications for social dialogue and collective bargaining (EPSU)

The OSE has started a new research project on “Modernising public administration – The implications for social dialogue and collective bargaining”. The aim of this research – commissioned by the European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU) and financed by the European Commission - is twofold. First, we will shed light on the key messages concerning the modernisation of public administration emerging from the European Semester (in particular, from the annual Country-specific Recommendations). Second, we will investigate the involvement of public sector unions in, and their commitment to, the European Semester process at the national level. Besides providing an overview of the EU 28 countries, the OSE will carry out a more in-depth analysis concerning 5 countries (the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Ireland and Italy). The project will result in a number of briefing documents which will be discussed with stakeholders during three project meetings and further disseminated to a public of trade unionists and employer representatives.

The OSE researchers involved in this project are Chiara Agostini, Sebastiano Sabato, Valentina Lisi and Ramón Peña-Casas
