Working Yet Poor Final Conference

In-Work Poverty in Europe

The Final Conference of the WorkYP Project, funded by the Horizon 2020 scheme for the years 2020-2023, will take place on January 26, 2023. 09:00-17:00 CET at the International Auditorium (International Trade Union House) in Brussels as well as online.

The Conference will kick-off with two invited keynotes by Nicolas Schmit (European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights) and Olivier De Schutter (UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights). It will then present the final results of the WorkYP project, aiming at reconceptualising in-work poverty and EU social citizenship. The event closes with a high-level roundtable hosting social stakeholders: Özlem Demirel (MEP), Alva Finn (Social Platform), Anna Kwiatkiewicz (BusinessEurope), Oliver Röpke (European Economic and Social Committee) and Ludovic Voet (European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC).
