Launch of ETUI/OSE Social policy in the EU: state of play 2024.

The OSE was saddened to learn of the death of Emilio Gabaglio, one of its founders. In this collective tribute, we look back at the history of our association and the work carried out to establish a “European social model”.

Project WeLaR will host a foresight workshop to examine the long-term impacts of four key megatrends on European labour markets and welfare systems. Experts and stakeholders will address key uncertainties, including technological advances, the stringency of climate policies, demographic shifts, and migration.

Check out this OSE research paper (Summaries in NL and FR) that explores international experience in the setting of national health and health care targets, with a view to drawing conclusions relevant for Belgium in this area. The study was commissioned by the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (NIHDI) and authored by Jessica Martini (OSE) and Alban Davesne (OsloMet University).
